Angela Medrano, Esq.
Angela M. Medrano, Esq. serves as the Tribal Council Secretary for the Cahuilla Band of Indians. She brings more than twenty years of legal experience in federal Indian law, Tribal justice systems, and Tribal law and governance.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern California and her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law. Her professional work is grounded in a commitment to community service and Tribal sovereignty. Over the years, she has served on numerous professional boards and Tribal committees, drawing inspiration from the achievements and perseverance of her ancestors and relatives.
Ms. Medrano is also a dedicated adjunct and part-time lecturer, teaching federal Indian law and policy courses at universities and colleges throughout San Diego County. As Tribal Council Secretary, she brings her legal training, academic experience, and connection to the community to support transparent, accountable governance in service of the Cahuilla people and future generations.
