The Cahuilla Youth and Family Committee was created in 2019 to collaborate youth development opportunities and community events for the Cahuilla People. We work alongside other tribal departments and committees to maximize services and participation. Although there are five (5) elected committee members, all members of the community are encouraged to participate in volunteer opportunities that vary from wrapping Christmas presents, to telling stories to the families, or cooking up traditional food at one of our community events. We strongly believe that it takes a village to raise our children, build strong family bonds, and maintain cultural connections.
To strengthen the community by connecting all Cahuilla tribal families to programs and opportunities that improve and support academic achievement, cultural teachings, leadership, and healthy lifestyles.
Cahuilla Youth and Family envisions a unified tribal community with resilient youth, strong leaders, and intergenerational bonds who share a sense of pride, culture, spiritual strength, and academic achievements.
