Cahuilla Family and Social Services
Our Mission
The Cahuilla Family & Social Services Department exists to promote the well-being of our children and families by advocating for and sustaining safe, healthy, and stable environments while honoring and upholding Cahuilla customs and traditions.
Our Vision
A thriving community where every generation of children and families experiences safety, support, and lifelong wellbeing.
What we do
· We provide and coordinate referrals to resources to support the well-being of community members.
· Serve as ICWA/Tribal representatives, supporting families and working with child welfare agencies from initial involvement through resolution to uphold Tribal interests and promote the well-being of our children and families.
· Assess and recruit foster parents and Tribally approved homes to support the needs of the Tribe.
· Support members receiving substance abuse treatment and help connect those seeking recovery services with appropriate care.
· Promote family preservation and the overall well-being of Cahuilla members through prevention, education, outreach, and other supportive services.
