Elizabeth Rios, M.A.

Elizabeth Rios is an enrolled citizen of the Cahuilla Band of Indians of the Túkut moiety and ‘Íswet clan. She received her Bachelors of Arts Degree in Anthropology from the University of California, Riverside in 2016 and her Master’s Degree in American Indian Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2022.

Elizabeth has served multiple positions within the Tribe. Currently, she serves on the Youth & Family Committee, Scholarship Committee, and Cultural Committee. Currently, she serves as the Tribal Council Executive Assistant. As a lifelong resident of the Cahuilla Indian Reservation, Elizabeth values community, culture, ‘Ívillu’at reclamation (Cahuilla Language), and promoting educational and cultural sovereignty.
