Jackie Cope, Ed.D.
Jackie Cope Ed.D. is a proud member of the Washoe Tribe of California and Nevada and long-time Aguanga resident. Jackie is an alumni of Hamilton High School in Anza, CA. She went on to pursue her Business Management bachelors degree (BS) at San Diego State University. She got her first teaching job after graduating from SDSU and pursued her California Teaching Credential and Masters in Elementary Education (MA) at Azusa Pacific University in San Diego, CA. Jackie has been in education for over 10 years. She has worked at the SDSU Children’s Center, has been a reading specialist, and spent the majority of her teaching career at Hamilton Elementary teaching Kindergarten and 1st grade. She completed her Doctorate in Education in January of 2020 with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction (Ed.D.). During her doctoral research she also completed an Education Leadership Post Masters Certificate. Jackie is passionate about being the change education needs to improve access to meaningful education, raise awareness about education equity, and is an advocate for education to be a basic human right.
